Enterprise Individual Mastering Platform (EiMP)¶
Matching disparate health care data to the right place at the right time
The best features of two identity matching applications were combined to create a solution that the enterprise can depend upon. Without a proper identification matrix, it is increasingly difficult for medical systems and payers to match clinical and claims information from multiple sources to the appropriate person or provider. Enterprise Identity Mastering Platform (EiMP) simplifies the process with automated, machine learning-algorithms in the cloud. EiMP is a secure and cost-effective platform that protects against data loss, deploys quickly and scales to the volumes necessary for the health system to work better for everyone.

Capabilities¶
Self-learning matching algorithms
EiMP uses entity-agonistic, machine-learning algorithms that handle multiple data types while automatically improving over time. Based off of Naive Bayes principles, EiMP’s matching system capitalizes on statistical analyses for deterministic, probabilistic and transitive matching. It’s able to match disparate data on limited information, such as partial Social Security numbers and partial phone numbers. EiMP’s algorithms adapt to specific customer data. The more identifiers sent through EiMP, the better the model becomes over time.
Split/merge matching
During the matching process, records sometimes move to new identities. This concept is known as splits and merges. EiMP automatically rectifies these occurrences during the matching process and also allows users to perform manual updates with an intuitive user interface.
Self-configurable algorithms
Statistical analyses run through EiMP helps businesses identify potential matches. Customers may pull a report and fine-tune matching rules. This out-of-the-box configurability is available through an intuitive, easy-to-navigate, user interface. Additional reports can then be run to see how the alterations are working. Self-service functionality empowers organizations to manage their identities without needing help from EiMP team members.
Security
EiMP complies with all security requirements, vetted by Enterprise Information Security, and received a “preferred” rating from enterprise architecture. With role-based access controls for multiple integration patterns, EiMP securely transmits personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Additionally, EiMP is a Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) solution. FHIR is the standard for data formats, elements and interface for exchanging electronic health records. EiMP is also backward compatible with the Health Level Seven (HL7) standard, which means no modifications are necessary for compliance.
Multi-tenancy
EiMP creates a separate, secure tenancy for each of its clients and ensures there is no commingling of data on-premises or in the cloud.
Seamless integration and on-boarding
Team members onboard new clients with multiple data sources in as little as two weeks once the data is in the required format.
Golden ID preservation and data cleansing
To foster a seamless transition, EiMP maintains as many of the old or existing identifiers as possible when businesses switch from an enterprise master patient index (EMPI) to the preferred EiMP solution. Additionally, EiMP cleanses matched data.
Data lineage and stewardship
Businesses get a thorough picture of what happens to their data through match reports. The administration user interface allows customers to search through data using wildcards and nicknames. It shows potential matches that need manual review and gives users the option to view, sort and aggregate match history (data lineage), adjust rules and review results.
